Dear pastors, ministers, missionaries and friends of this ministry. Greetings in Christ in I CO.15:58
We were invited by Rev.John K.Appiah to preach in a crusade in the city of Kumasi, in the nation of Ghana in West Africa. The crusade was organized by the Executive Committee with the support of the Pastors Association of Kumasi and it was financially paid by our ministry. We thank all who made it possible!
Together with my wife Damaris and our children Kathryn (10) and Joshua Yrion Jr.(9) we arrived in Accra the 17th of August.The following day we were received by the executive and the planning committee. Sunday the 19th I preached in the Church of Rev.John K.Appiah. It was a great service with the anointing.
The 20th together with the executive committee of the pastors we had a meeting with the Regional Minister of Government of the Ashanti Kingdom and member of the parliament of Ghana, the Honorable Rev.S.K.Boafo. Later we had a meeting with the mayor of Kumasi. Mr.Maxwell K.Jumah. We also met with the Regional Police Commander, Dr.George Asiamah and with the Army Commander. We met as well with the Ashanti King secretary, Mr.Jesse in charge of the Otumfuo Educational Fund for the Children which our ministry made a financially donation. And our last meeting with the civil and governmental authorities was with the mother of the King of the Asantes, Dr.Nana Osei Tutu II, the Queen Mother, Nana Afia Icobi Serwaa Ampem, that like the others, received us with much appreciation and attention to our family and all the pastors of the executive committee. Our ministry invited 100 people to the Royal Park Hotel, among civil and religious authorities that were part of an appreciation luncheon to the pastors and to the executive and planning committee. I spoke in I CO.15:58 and gave a word of gratitude and encouragement to all that were present and I was interviewed by Channel TV3 of the Ghanaian television.
The seminars in the mornings to the pastors and leadership and the crusade during the nights was held from August 21st to 24th. The seminars were of a great and extraordinary impact with the presence of more then 1.464 pastors and their associate leaders during the 4 days of the event. It took place in the Maranatha Church of Rev.Gyimah Asante. I preached to the ministers about “Our intimacy with God”, “Our thankfulness to the Lord for being ministers”, “The privilege to be called” and “Go and take possession of Africa through Missions”. Kathryn and Joshua Jr., sang to the Lord during the conferences. It was the glory of God in all the seminars and the Holy Spirit was felt strongly among all the ministers. Hallelujah!
The crusade was held in Jackson Park of Kumasi. It was transmitted via satellite by Radio Spirit FM 88.3 to more then 85% of all Ghana. We had in 4 days from 4.500 to 5.000 people and more then 200 of them gave their hearts over to Christ. Many people also testified of the healing of their bodies. Praise the Lord!
The 26th of August at 4 in the morning, while still in Africa, we received the bad news of the death of my father in Brazil that went to be with the Lord. He died of a cancer is his kidney. REV.14:13
