Scriptures of FAITH

 Here is a list of passages to lift our faith for our fast on May 21, 2013.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” –Romans 10:17

“For the word of God is alive and active…” –Hebrews 4:12

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” –Matthew 24:35

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord   will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” –Isaiah 40:30-31

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” –Isaiah 41:10

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” –Isaiah 43:2

“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” –Joshua 1:5

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” -Hebrews 11:6

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” -Luke 11:9

“…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” –Matthew 17:20

“For nothing is impossible with God.” –Luke 1:37

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” -1 John 5:14-15

“In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” -John 16:23-24

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” –John 14:13-14

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” –Matthew 21:22

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” –Psalm 5:3

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” –Jeremiah 23:13

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” –Matthew 6:33 *Here, “all these things” refers to our daily needs.

and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.” -1 John 3:22

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” –Colossians 4:2

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20

for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” -1 John 5:4

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” –Luke 10:19

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” –Mark 16:17-18

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” –Philippians 2:9-11

That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” –Matthew 28:20
