How to Know Jesus

1 - The Greatest Expression of God to Mankind is LOVE.

Rom. 5:8 says: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God loves you and has an awesome plan for your life. When God created Adam and Eve, the first humans, He did so with a purpose. But they disobeyed God and because of this came sin, sickness, and death.

2 – After Sinning, Humans became ETERNALLY SEPARATED from God.

Rom. 5:12 says: “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned-” Men and women were created to have a relationship with God, but we chose our own way. We chose to rebel against God. Perhaps you are in the same situation today, separated from God.

3 – JESUSCHRIST is the ONLY MEDIATOR and WAY to God.

John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus died for mankind, for everybody, for you and I , to give us eternal life. But it is not enough to know these 3 points. To be saved, it is necessary to…

4 – Humans need to be SAVED and KNOW God through JESUS.

Romans 3:23-24 says: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” We need to recognize that we are sinners and that we need salvation. You can be saved by repenting of your sins and confessing them to Jesus, receiving Him in your heart. Why do you have to do this? Because Romans 6:23 says: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Both physical death and spiritual death (which is eternal separation from God) came to mankind when we sinned. The only way we could be free from our punishment was if someone else died in our place. That is exactly what Jesus did. He died for you and me and took our place so that God can justly save us from our punishment. You should accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, as the person who loves you and can save you from your mistakes, sadness, and destruction. But you must do so not just intellectually, but sincerely and with all your heart.

5 – You can be SAVED through CHRIST TODAY and be FREE from sin, sadness, and condemnation.

Acts 4:12 says: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Only through Christ can you be saved. There is no other way or person. Nobody can save you or forgive your mistakes except Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.” Maybe you agree that you need salvation. You need a new start. But, you ask, how can I be saved? You can just say this simple prayer to Jesus, who is always listening.

“Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner. I am lost without you. Forgive me of my sins and mistakes, I confess all my sins to you. Save my soul and write my name in the book of life. Thank you for dying on the Cross to save me. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead and I confess with my mouth that you are the Lord and that at this moment I am saved by you through my faith.”Amen!

6 – Now you are ETERNALLY SAVED through Christ.

Congratulations for having received Christ and welcome to God’s family. 1 John 5:11-13 says:  “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Now you can have assurance that God will never leave you. He is with you through Christ and His Spirit forever. The Bible says that when you received Christ, He came to live in your life from that moment on and that your sins have been forgiven. You are a child of God and you have received eternal life.

7 – Now you need to GROW SPIRITUALLY through the WORD OF GOD.

Romans 10:17 says: “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Now, you should pray and read the Bible daily. You should also find a Christian church close to your house. Get baptized in obedience to what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”, and Mark 16:16: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Don’t wait to be invited, find a church nearby and enjoy fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ who will help you to know God better. You should also try to learn more about the Holy Spirit, who now lives in you.
